2. Source of the data

Registration data: EUIPO register

The data relating to trademark filings comes from the public European trademark register managed by the EUIPO (Trademark Search API), accessed through the EUIPO Trademark Search API. This register is public by nature: the publication of filings is provided for by Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 on the European Union trade mark (Article 45).

Named contact data: company registers and official websites

For Pro/Team subscribers, named contact data is collected from public third-party sources:

  • Recherche d’entreprises (recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr), France : named directors, registered office
  • Companies House, United Kingdom : named officers, service address
  • Official company pages (home page, legal notice, impressum, contact page): generic or named contact details published, name and position of the director mentioned
  • Brave Search (search engine): only to find the official website of an applicant company, from the name of the brand and the name of the company

All these sources are public or professional. No personal social network is used.

Note: Priorlead is a private, independent service, not affiliated with the EUIPO or with any industrial property office.

Trademark monitoring and B2B prospecting

The data allows professionals in the cosmetics sector to identify companies that have recently filed a trademark, as a signal of a commercial launch activity, and to contact them in a professional context.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR)

The legitimate interest is based on the public nature of the register, its declarative and commercial purpose, and the proportionality of the processing: only professional data is processed, in the context of targeted B2B prospecting, with safeguards (right to object, active suppression list).

Display in the interface and in the results

The data is presented to subscribers in their brand feed, in the detailed brand profiles and in the exports.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR)

Deletion on request (objection list)

The EUIPO references for which an objection has been exercised are kept in a suppression list to ensure that the corresponding data does not reappear.
